Professional Profile
Dr. Abdullat serves as the Dean and a Professor of Computer Information Systems in the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business. Dr. Abdullat has B.S. and B.A. degrees from California State University at Sacramento. He also has an M.B.A. from the National University of San Diego and an Ed.D. from Pepperdine University. Dr. Abdullat’s dissertation topic covered the topic “The Need for Paradigm Shift in Information Technology Planning.”

Dr. Abdullat is one of the founding principles and members of the board of directors of Edmin.com. Edmin is a comprehensive technology enterprise providing learning organizations with the next generation of web-based products, applications, and services.

Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Abdullat teaches courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of Management Information Systems, Database Design System Analysis and Design, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, and Telecommunications Management.

Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Abdullat’s research interests are transdisciplinary. His research combines technical skills from information systems and analytical skills from economics. He focuses his research on the development and deployment of advanced information technologies and approaches to information systems education.
